The Golden Pavilion

Well luckly the weather was good today so I mannaged to visit it finally...
the Golden pavilion ( Kinkakukji ) the most famous site in Kyoto

If you recognize it before, I used this temple in the blog header as a sign of my presence in japan

The original Kinkaku-ji was built in 1397, the top two stories of the pavilion are covered with pure gold leaf.
and the fall season adds to the beauty...

A Bridge That Stands to Sky

This weekend we went in a laboratory trip to
"amanohashidate" a bridge that stands to sky...
one of the 3 most beautiful scenes in Japan...

It's a small natural peninsula in japan sea, in the northern part of Kyoto

In the morning we were very afraid because the weather was like this

but fortunately it started to become better...
on the way we stopped in a farm to eat some peach...

So big and delicious...
then we went to a hot spring ...
of course NO pictures ...hehehe

in the next day we headed to the sea
we had to take a boat to reach a hill next to the peninsula to have a good view over it.

then I took a left for the first time in my life to the top of the mountain...

to see THIS...

in deed it was beautiful ...

we spent some time enjoying the scene and some ice cream on the top...
then we headed back the same way...

It's amaizing how they could preserve the nature here in Japan...
so all the generations can enjoy the beauty of their country...

Finally! I found my self !
after months of meditation in hidden temple in the mountain...
Just kidding...

I had a lot of lectures followed by loads of reports and also I had to be in the lab each day (T_T)
Anyhow I'm almost done with the lectures...SO I hope from now on, I can have more time to do some adventures...

The weather here sucks in summer...it's too hot and humid...and rain...a lot of it..
and a lot of (Mushi) insects (x_x') well that's the price of preserving the nature...

That's why it's almost impossible to do any outdoor activities...
So...shopping is the only way to have fun...
I explored a lot of new shopping malls and restaurants..
Ahh...here are some pics off some weird stuff that I saw..
I really can't believe that there are someone who'll buy it !?!

No.1: I dare you to wear it...

No.2: I hope it's real...

No.3: No way...

Well...That was a little bit of a surprise to me...
of course there were some other stuff but I can't post the pictures...u know why? hehehe...

Nara Experience

So beautiful...so quite...so natural
I've never imagined that I can see Deers (Real ones) walking among people in the city
until my last visit to Nara to the south of Kyoto...
I went with our tooter friend and My friends from Holland and Kenya...

We went to see the light up in the city...but we had the chance to visit some other places since we arrived early...
so took a walk to Tōdai-ji the temple which is the largest wooden building in the world.

and after that we clumped a mountain next to the temple to arrive there by the sunset time over Nara city.
I did the Asr and Maghreb prayers on the top of the mountain...new experience...
And OHHHH!!! it was awesome ^_^
then we headed back to see the light up...
so Romantic....
