Byoudou in (Phoenix Temple)

This is the 10 en coin....
Actually I went to what you can see in the coin face...

The phoenix temple (byoudou in) actually the translation of the Japaneses words is equality temple but the most famous building in the temple is the Phoenix Hall which you can see it in the coin.
This temple was originally built in 998 in the Heian period...and the Phoenix Hall, completed in 1053....Yeah too old!

The temple lays on the side of Uji river, which actually was one of the most important places according to its strategic location .
And near the temple lays the city of Genji tale the oldest Japaneses novel, actually there a statue for Genji that you can see just as soon as you cross Uji river.

Inside the temple the is a museum full of ststues of Budah and two peautiful statues of the phoenix .but unfortunately taking pics inside the museum is forbidden, So this is some pics of the temple from outside and the pic of the phoenix I bought it there....

Fushimi Inari Taisha (KYOTO)

Mysterious place...
The shrine sits at the base of a mountain also named Inari, and includes trails up the mountain to many smaller shrines. All the ways up to the mountain lined with thousands of torii (the red gates) with a lot of kanjis that i couldn't read...

and yes it took me and my friend a lot of time to reach the top of the mountain but it worthed to do,there was a lake on the mountain and of course we could see Kyoto city from the summit

and we found our selves here after we got down...and the only thing we said was
(HAAAA!!! KOKO WA DOKO) but luckily we had a map and campus...

The BEAUTIFULL KAMOGAWA

Kamogawa (Ducks River) and yes there's a Lot of Ducks in it
Is one of the uncountable number of rivers in Kyoto...
This river runs from the north to the south through the middle of Kyoto and on the sides of this river lays a lot of shops and temples of course in addition to the main stations in Kyoto...
In the evening the sides of the river are full of life...a lot of people gather to listen to some bands playing music or to watch some live performances, specially near Sanjo station...
which is one of my favorite places here in Kyoto...

Nothing compared to ARABIC food....

Well...I didn't eat anything for the first 4 days...
of course no way to compare my mothers food to other...
I really find it hard to eat any other food...specially the Japanese food
which is really deferent than the Arabic food...They don't use spices and if they use it
in very little quantity and in the end it taste like "FISH"
But any way I started to find my own way of eating
and started to make some "JARABIC" food
which is a mix of Japanese and Arabic as you can guess from the name...
and I found a Falafel shop... 4 JD for sandwich T_T
OHHH.... I miss my mother's cooking ...
This is some of my cooking trials...it didn't look that good but it's eatable...
